Brand Strategy for Small Business Owners

. . . . .

Most business owners arrive here having tried a lot of things that didn't quite work. Not because they weren't trying hard enough, but because nobody ever showed them what to build first and in what order. That's exactly what this membership fixes.

I learned this the hard way...

I didn’t start my business with a plan. I started with ideas, scribbled notebooks, half-formed products, and the quiet hope that maybe this could turn into something meaningful over time.

I wasn’t afraid of effort. I was frustrated by uncertainty. What changed everything wasn’t a new platform or a clever tactic. It was realizing I was trying to build on top of a foundation I’d never intentionally created.

There was a season where I felt busy but not productive. Creative and unfocused. Excited, but stuck. Exhausted from trying to hold everything in my head at once.

What I needed wasn’t more hustle. I needed structure. I needed a clear framework that showed me what to build first, and why. So I stripped everything back and focused on the foundation.

I clarified what my business was really about before adding more. I worked through branding and messaging before creating endlessly. I built a simple website that made sense to real people. I learned SEO so I could be found without chasing trends. And I put systems in place so my business didn’t require constant decision-making.

Slow. Steady. Clear. Calm.

Little by little, everything shifted. My business started to feel like it was working with my life instead of competing with it. That process, learning what matters, and in what order, became the foundation for the Designed Simply Membership.

hand-drawn line

If you’ve been tweaking your marketing every few months, redesigning your website without feeling more confident in it, or buying courses that teach one piece of the puzzle without ever seeing how it all connects, you’re not alone. And you’re not behind.

I was there too.

It’s easy to believe the next tactic will fix things. More traffic. A better funnel. A stronger call to action. I tried that path. I kept adding pieces without fully stepping back to look at the structure underneath.

But if the core of your business isn’t aligned, more visibility doesn’t fix it. It often just amplifies the disconnect. That’s why this membership doesn’t start with quick fixes. It starts by helping you slow down just enough to build correctly. I care too much about the outcome of your business to let you keep patching symptoms.

When your business is structured well, something shifts. Your messaging feels clearer. Your decisions feel less reactive. You stop rebuilding every few months and start refining what’s already working. Growth becomes steadier, not frantic.

And that steadiness is what creates real momentum over time.

THE BUSINESS CLARITY

blueprint

Designed Simply is organized into three phases, each one building on the last, so you always know where you are and what comes next.

.................................................

foundations

circle highlighting the importance of strategy in setting up your business

1

This is where we get clear on what you're building, set it up correctly from the start, and make sure every decision going forward has something solid to stand on.

  • Module 1: Business Vision and Plan: Before anything else, we clarify what your business is truly about and how it's meant to work. We cover everything from defining your vision and direction to setting up your accounts and answering the practical questions most new business owners have but nobody ever answers clearly.

  • Module 2: Branding and Messaging: With your direction clear, we build the brand that communicates it. We start with your voice, values, and what makes your business distinctly yours, then we bring that to life visually so the right people immediately recognize that you're for them.

  • Module 3: Website and SEO: Step by step, from planning through launching, we build a website that pulls it all together with SEO built in from the start so your business can be found by the right people over time.

............................................................

By the end of this phase you'll have a clear business plan, a brand that feels like you, and a live website that works. Everything else builds on what you create here.

2

With your foundation in place, this phase focuses on what you're selling, how you stay visible, and how you build systems that let your business run without requiring your constant attention.

..................

...............................................................

  • Module 4: Offers, Pricing, and Presentation: Now that your foundation is solid, we look at what you're actually selling and make sure it's structured, priced, and presented in a way that's clear, compelling, and aligned with everything you've built.

  • Module 5: Marketing Foundations: A strong foundation makes marketing simpler because you're no longer explaining yourself from scratch every time. This module is about learning how to stay visible consistently without burning out or chasing every new trend.

  • Module 6: Systems and Workflow: Simple systems reduce decision fatigue, save time, and let your business run more smoothly without you having to hold every detail in your head. This is the module that makes everything sustainable.

By the end of this phase your offers are clear, your marketing feels manageable, and your business has systems that work for you instead of the other way around.

.................................................

expansion

.................................................

circle highlighting the importance of strategy in setting up your business

3

.............

This phase is intentionally different from the first two. By the time you arrive here your foundation is solid, your systems are running, and what comes next depends entirely on where you want to take your business. For some that means building a course. For others it means launching a membership, scaling an offer, or developing a new income stream.

This is where we look at your specific goals and map out what expansion actually means for you. New modules will be added to this phase over time as the curriculum grows, so the guidance here evolves right alongside your business.

..................................................................

  • Module 7: Optimize and Scale: We audit what's working, strengthen your positioning, and build a long-term growth plan that fits your goals and your life before you add anything new on top.

New modules coming as the curriculum expands.

................................................................................................................

Once your foundation is solid and your systems are in place, these bonus modules will be ready to take you further. They're designed to layer additional skills and income streams onto the business you've already built, and they'll be added to the membership as the curriculum expands.

modules

bonus

  • Creative Foundations: For the business owner who wants to develop or deepen a creative skill set that supports their brand, products, and overall direction. Whether you're starting from scratch or refining what you already create, this module helps you build a visual foundation that your business can actually sell.

  • Scaling Beyond One-to-One: For the service-based business owner who has hit their ceiling on time and is ready to package their expertise into something scalable. We'll walk through how to evaluate which path makes sense for your specific business, whether that's a course, a membership, digital products, or something else entirely, so you're not guessing at what to build next.

  • Social Media Strategies: Social media works best when it supports a business you already own, not when it's the foundation itself. This module is about using social media as a strategic tool that amplifies what you've already built, without handing your visibility over to an algorithm you don't control.

Every module builds on the one before it. That's not an accident. It's the whole point.

The bonus modules are still in production phase and will be coming soon...

a note on passive products...

You Can Build Products That Sell While You're Not Working

Whether you started with a creative product idea or you've built a service-based business and hit a ceiling on your time, passive products are worth understanding. Digital products, print-on-demand, and scalable offers are not just for full-time creators. They're tools that can introduce new customers to your world, extend the value of your services, and create income that doesn't require you to show up every single time.

There's real work in creating them. Design, research, mockups, product selection. But done well, they become assets that keep working long after the initial effort is behind you. I know this works because it works for me. It's part of how I built my business and it's something I continue to use today. Inside the membership I'll show you how to do it in a way that actually makes sense for your specific business, your audience, and your goals. This isn't about chasing trends or adding more to your plate. It's about building something that fits.

Print-on-Demand

You design it, someone orders it, and it gets produced and shipped automatically without you touching inventory or managing fulfillment. It integrates directly with your website or marketplace so the whole process runs without you in the middle of every transaction. A flexible option for anyone who wants physical products without the overhead of manufacturing or storage.

Digital Products

Create it once, deliver it instantly, and sell it as many times as you like. Digital products carry higher profit margins and can be sold directly through your website or through marketplaces like Etsy. For service-based businesses they're also a powerful way to package your expertise into something scalable, whether that's a guide, a template, a course, or a tool that supports your clients beyond your one-on-one work.

what's waiting for you inside...

The Resource Library
A growing collection of templates, workbooks, and guides designed to move you from planning into action without starting from scratch. If a tool or template makes something easier or clearer, we'll add it here.

The Community
A calm, supportive space to ask questions, share progress, and get input when you need it. No pressure to constantly post or keep up. Just real people building real businesses, and I'm present and available to offer guidance as you work through the foundations.

So how much does it cost

and why did we price it this way....

Programs that teach business planning, branding, website strategy, SEO, and systems often cost $2,000 or more upfront, sometimes with additional upgrades layered on top.

Designed Simply was built differently.

This membership is currently in its Founding Builder Phase, meaning you’re joining while the full library is still expanding. Early members receive access to everything as it’s released and lock in a lower rate as the program grows. Instead of charging tuition upfront, I chose a membership model that allows you to build at your own pace and return as your business evolves.

Founding Builder Investment:

✔︎ $47 per month
or
✔︎ $470 per year (two months free)

Once the full syllabus is complete, pricing will increase to reflect the expanded curriculum. Members who join now keep their rate for as long as they remain enrolled.

This isn’t about rushing through content.
It’s about building something that lasts~ with steady support along the way.

FAQ~

WHAT YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING:

01

Will this actually help me increase my income?

The honest answer is that I can't promise you a number. What I can promise is that a business built on a solid foundation, with clear positioning, a website that works, and offers that make sense, converts better than one that's been pieced together from random advice. Structure creates momentum. Momentum supports income. That's not a guarantee, it's just how building correctly works.

02

Is this only for beginners?

Not even a little. If you're just starting out, we build it right from the beginning so you're not undoing things later. If you've been at this for a while and something still isn't clicking, you'll probably find the missing piece faster than you expect once we look at the foundation underneath.

Either way, I want to be honest with you about something. Every business, no matter where it starts, will go through seasons of testing, adjusting, and figuring out what actually resonates. That's not failure. That's how businesses grow. What the foundation does is make sure that every step, even the ones that don't go as planned, becomes useful information that helps you make better decisions the next time around. Nothing is wasted when you know what you're building toward.

03

Is this right for service-based or product-based businesses?

Both, genuinely. Whether you offer services, sell digital products, do print-on-demand, make physical products, or some mix of all of the above, the foundations work the same way. The goal isn't to force you into a specific business model. It's to help you build the one that actually fits your strengths and your life.

04

What if I don’t have a product idea yet?

That's actually a really common starting point and it's completely okay. We begin with clarity, your goals, your strengths, and the direction you want to move, so you're not guessing at what to create. And if you think you don't have ideas yet, I'd gently suggest you probably have more than you realize. We just need to find them.

05

I don’t have much time. Will this work for me?

Yes, and here's something that might actually help. The first seven modules are released one per week so you're never staring at an overwhelming library wondering where to start. One module per week for one clear focus. After that everything is open & self-paced and you move through it whenever life allows. No deadlines, no pressure, no guilt. Many members build in seasons, stepping away when things get busy and coming back when they're ready. The membership will be here.

06

I’ve bought courses before and didn’t finish them. How is this different?

I hear this one a lot and I get it completely. Most courses feel like a content dump with no clear starting point, so you consume a little, get overwhelmed, and quietly close the tab. Designed Simply is structured in a specific order for a reason. You always know what to focus on next because the next step is waiting for you. You're not left wandering through a library wondering if you're doing it right. And because the first seven modules drip one per week, you're never handed more than you can actually use right now.

07

What if I’m not tech-savvy?

You're in exactly the right place. Website strategy, SEO, Canva, and systems are all taught in a calm, practical way with non-designers and non-tech people very much in mind. You don't need experience. You just need a willingness to learn one step at a time, and I'll be right there with you.

08

What kind of support is included:

You'll have access to the full lesson library, templates, and a growing resource library, plus a community where you can ask questions, share wins, and get real feedback. I'm genuinely present inside the membership, not just as a name on a sales page. And I'm not alone in there. Both of my sons work alongside me in the business. One handles IT networking, cybersecurity, automations, and integrations, and the other brings a background in film, video editing, and web design. They both jump in to help answer technical questions when they come up. Between the three of us, you're covered. If you have a question, ask it. Someone will show up.

09

How long should I stay in the membership?

That really depends on your season. Some members work through the foundations, gain the clarity they needed, and move forward confidently on their own. Others stay longer as they refine, pivot, add new offers, or just want a calm place to think through their next move. There's no right answer. Stay as long as it's useful to you.

10

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, absolutely, no questions asked. Just cancel at least three days before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Because this is a digital membership with immediate access, refunds are available within the first ten days only. After that you're welcome to cancel at any time and your access continues through the end of your current billing period.

11

Slightly Important Question: Will you overwhelm me?

No. I genuinely care too much about the outcome of your business to let you build in chaos. The whole structure is designed to feel steady and manageable, not noisy or frantic. And if you ever do feel overwhelmed, come tell me in the community. We'll figure it out together.

Nothing, as long as you stay enrolled. Your founding rate is locked in for as long as you remain a member. When pricing increases to reflect the full curriculum, you keep paying what you joined at. That's our commitment to the people who showed up early.

12
